Hello, my name is Rodney Casey. I am the owner of Our Town Appliance. I have been in the appliance service industry for over thirty years, since my father opened his service business in 1986. So many changes to the industry have occurred in these thirty years, but quality service at a fair price should never change.

At Our Town Appliance we source small service companies, some even one-man shops, who believe in quality work at all costs and then help ​them to grow their business.

What Does Our Town Appliance Do and How Can it Help Me?

We have a two-fold purpose at Our Town Appliance. First and foremost, we focus on the appliance owner, to make sure as much as we can without being there, that they have an excellent service experience... professional service ​at a professional price all backed by a warranty they can trust.

The reason we focus on them first, even though they are not the ones buying our service, is for the long term protection of all our authorized local service providers. We MUST provide quality service and maintain a reputation as the fair, honest, reputable service organization that we are.


Secondly, we offer an online lead generation program for approved appliance service businesses. We wanted to create a platform that would generate profitable service leads without the outrageous "per lead" cost or the charge for the "price shopper". What we have created is a monthly subscription service, with the price based on the population of your county or trade area. We require that approved businesses handle the leads they generate through our system with certain procedures, so this program is not for everyone. But we do give exclusive rights in your county or trade area in consideration for implementing these procedures. I will explain more on why this is important.


And finally, let me explain the company model we are promoting with this program. It is one of providing professional service and earning a professional price for that service. We are creating a brand associated with high-quality, guaranteed work, with the expectation being set with the consumer of paying a professional price for that work.​​

We have a branded concept in place for customers to receive discounts and perks through a separate affiliate marketing program, but our focus is on professionalism and customer service, not discounts. We seek to create an environment where a service company can receive leads with the expectation of greater profitability from those leads. With that said, here is what we expect from our Authorized Local Service Providers.


What Does Our Town Appliance Offer To Me?
Service Leads

This is a big one. We are only looking for one Authorized LSP per county. On the larger counties we will occasionally split between two to keep the cost more affordable, but our desire is to give each Authorized LSP their own county. You don't have to worry about your lead being shared among 2-3 other companies like some lead companies do. They are all yours. By agreeing to our expectations, we give you this back in return.

Exclusivity

Our leads are different from others that you may have checked into in the past. We want you to be able to have the comfort of knowing exactly what you will be paying every month for access to these leads, so we based our program on a flat rate monthly subscription structure.

Customizable Mini-Website​​

Every business will receive a mini-website that is located on our website. This site is customized to your business and the services that you offer. There will be no links to your website, giving you the freedom to allow perks or policies to leads from Our Town Appliance that you might not have on your main website. We will only feature services you offer that are appliance related.  Once they contact you, however, you are free to fill any needs they have.​

Automated Social Media and Blog Posts


In addition to organic search engine leads and geo-targeted leads, we also capitalize on social media and content marketing to drive leads as well.  We set up exclusive social media and blog accounts for your territory.  Compelling appliance repair posts are automatically sent to your county accounts.


Automated Review Management


Every business will receive a review management program to easily request, filter, and promote good reviews on your mini-website.  There is also a mechanism to catch bad reviews before they are posted, with an opportunity to remedy the situation.


Text Messaging Program


Every business will receive access to our appointment text messaging program. It is fully automated, and can be set up at the time the service call is generated to contact them at the desired times with a reminder and then a confirmation text. If you already have a text-based appointment system in place, you may use that instead.

Online Service Requests


Every business will have online service request capabilities built into their mini-websites. 


Exclusive Phone and Email Extensions

Every​​ business will be given their own exclusive phone number extension which will be placed on their mini-website, as well as their own email address extension, which will be used for form submissions and contact information.


Appliance Repair Video Access

This one might not sound like much, but it may be one of the most important benefits we offer.​​​​​​​​ We work hard to create an environment where you can be paid what you are worth. It is here that we need to dig deeper into our pricing structure. The reason we require an Authorized LSP to apply our pricing structure to leads generated from us is that we have already set the expectation for the customer and explained why our structure is the best for them. To change up would be confusing to the customer, and we can almost guarantee will make you less money.

Every business that is brought aboard will have access to an extensive array of appliance repair videos that can be accessed if you are stuck on a job and need a pointer, or if you want to check one out before heading on a job.


Affordable Pricing

As we mentioned earlier​​, our services are broken into two parts, the monthly platform access fee and the monthly lead subscription rate. Our goal is to make this service as affordable as possible, and we truly believe we have achieved that goal.

What Does Our Town Appliance Expect From Me?

Printed Warranty


Every Our Town Appliance Authorized Local Service Provider (LSP) must warranty their work. There are no exceptions. There is a minimum three months parts and labor warranty that must be provided in print online. You can provide more.

Liability Insurance


Every Authorized LSP must carry adequate liability insurance to cover contingencies. We will need proof of this from your insurance provider.

Priority Scheduling

The service calls that come through our system must be flagged for same or next day service. We know sometimes it is not possible, but it must be made a priority in your scheduling procedures.


Superior Communication


Every Authorized LSP is required to send out a text message the day before the scheduled service call , a text message the morning of a service call, and a phone call on the way to the service call. Any delays or re-schedules are expected to be handled professionally. A text messaging program is provided upon enrollment. More on that later.

Increased Online ​​​​Options


Every Authorized LSP must provide online options for leads to check availability, book the service call, and get a confirmation of that booking. You must also provide two to three hour arrival window choices. An online scheduling program is provided upon enrollment. More on that later.


Transparent Upfront Pricing


Every Authorized LSP agrees to apply our pricing structure to each service call that comes through our system. We do not tell you what to charge, but we do tell you how we want it charged. Each servicer sets their own rate based on their own market.​​ We realize this could be a touchy subject, so we will cover that more in the column to the right.


Willingness to be Reviewed



Every customer has an option, and is encouraged, to write a review on their service experience with an Authorized LSP. We will not tolerate malicious, unsubstantiated comments by customers on these reviews and also provide a link for dis-satisfied customers to get to us with their concerns before posting, if possible. Any bad reviews that do surface need to be addressed by you in the review forum with solutions for the customer. We manage the forum, so it can not be manipulated by any service company. We do not simply erase bad reviews, however. They must be handled. If they are handled satisfactorily, then we request the customer to update their review with the solution and their satisfaction. If they have been taken care of and will not update the review forum to reflect that, then the comments may be removed by us
